Wellesley is a leafy suburb west of Boston, home to Wellesley College and Babson College and shaped by a series of village centers along the commuter rail line. Wellesley Square, Wellesley Hills and Wellesley Farms each have their own station and commercial blocks, and the Boston Marathon passes through town each April along Route 135, past the college.

Getting around
Route 9 crosses Wellesley from east to west, and I-95 and Route 128 run along the town’s eastern edge, with the Massachusetts Turnpike just to the north. Three stations on the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail line serve the villages with trains to Back Bay and South Station, and downtown Boston is a short drive away.
Parks and recreation
Lake Waban and the Wellesley College grounds offer lakeside walking, while Elm Bank and the Charles River provide trails and paddling. The Cochituate Aqueduct and Sudbury Aqueduct paths cross town, Centennial Reservation and Morses Pond add woods and a town beach, and the Marathon brings crowds to Central Street each spring.
