North Kingstown stretches along the western shore of Narragansett Bay, from Quonset Point and Davisville in the north to Saunderstown in the south. Wickford, the historic harbor village at its center, is lined with 18th and 19th century homes and small shops along Main Street and Brown Street. Inland, the town gives way to woods, farms and growing neighborhoods around Route 2 and Route 102.

Route 4 runs north to I-95 and Providence, and Route 1 follows the bay toward Wickford and South County. Route 138 crosses the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge toward Newport. Wickford Junction offers MBTA commuter rail, and T.F. Green Airport is a short drive north.
