Route 1 runs along the town’s eastern side and Route 1A passes through Walpole Center, with I-95 and I-495 within easy reach. Commuter rail trains on the Franklin/Foxboro line stop in town and continue to Back Bay and South Station, and Providence is reachable to the south by I-95.
Parks and recreation
Bird Park in East Walpole is a favorite for walks and picnics, and Adams Farm adds fields and trails on the west side of town. The Neponset River winds through Walpole, and Walpole Town Forest and other conservation lands provide additional woodland paths. Gillette Stadium in Foxborough is a short drive south.
