Wales is a small rural town in the southeastern corner of Hampden County, tucked against the Connecticut line between Monson and Holland. Its compact village center sits at the head of Lake George, with a town hall, library and a few historic buildings, while the rest of the town is made up of wooded hills, wetlands and winding country roads.
