Route 32, Route 62 and Route 122 meet near the center, connecting Barre to Worcester, Gardner and Ware. Route 2 and the Massachusetts Turnpike are each reachable by back roads, and Worcester is the nearest larger city. Back roads also lead east toward Rutland and Holden.
Parks and recreation
